Solutions Architect
Reports To: Manager Service Operations
Purpose of the job: Responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing support of internal and external customer business applications to ensure that these are functioning in line with requirements and expectations; help bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver service excellence daily in keeping with Amaranth Business Solutions Limited’s Customer Service Philosophy
 - Supports the implementation of Companys’ solutions within the internal environment to demonstrate proof of concept for customers.
 - Maintain an updated demo environment for company solutions and install and test latest upgrades, functions, patches and updates.
 - Provide Escalated support for internal company business solutions, this includes current ERP Laserfiche and other software used within Amaranth
 - Acts as Project Coordinator for small/medium customer deployments
 - Conducts diagnostic and analysis sessions with customers to determine requirements
 - Understand client’s needs and recommend solutions that provide optimized results based on short and long term objectives
 - Develop functional specifications and system design for customer engagements.
 - Develop and test applications to ensure that customer requirements are met.
 - Develop and maintain customer documentation, including functional requirements, fit/gap analysis, flow charts and report design documentation
 - Install applications and configure environment for use in development, testing and production
 - Conduct ongoing user training and create and develop training documents and processes
 - Develop and maintain a knowledge base of material (videos, documents, test environment etc) to ensure that users have access to on demand training
 - Supports the Professional and Managed Services Team as required on pre and post implementation activities
 - Maintains personal technical/software certifications as guided by job requirements and industry standards, participates in professional societies and attends classroom / online training as required
 - Through self-study and company-sponsored training, develops soft skills and maintains and enhances industry and technical knowledge
 - Prepares regular and adhoc reports as required
 - Any other related duties which may be assigned.
 
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with Group’s Business Continuity Programme (BCP) and adheres to Company policies and practices.
 - Assists in annual and periodic Company stock counts.
 - Participates in regular Department and Company Meetings, and represents IT at meetings when required or as a member of various Committees.
 - Works with the HSSE team to ensure compliance with HSSE standards and practices and applicable legislation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:
- First degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, Information Systems or any other related discipline
 - A minimum of five (5) CXC / O’Level passes including Mathematics and English (I & II)
 - Experience and certification in project management
 - Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) will be an asset
 - Certification in ITIL (Foundation) will be an asset
 - Networking experience that includes WAN/LAN, TCPIP and network administration
 - Proven experience in project design and implementation
 - Computer Literate / proficient in Microsoft Office suite
 - A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position
 - Proven track record for maintaining IT structural integrity
 - Customer focused and operates in the spirit of service
